William Thomas O'Connor, Jr

., was raised and educated in Northeastern Ohio. He completed High School at Berkshire High School in Burton, Ohio, distinguishing himself in sciences by scoring highest in the state on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Tests in Biology, and artistically by designing the school's crest. He later entered the U.S. Air Force, was recognized as a student leader in the technical school where he graduated as an Advanced Aircraft Sensor Systems Technician. In this career field, he repaired and maintained the sophisticated reconnaissance equipment used in modern warfare such as Airborne Infrared Observation devices, Side-looking Radar, Aerial Photography, and Night Observation Devices. He served honorably in Thailand and Vietnam during the Vietnam War, winning awards for superior performance. He was honorably discharged in 1974 to pursue an academic career.
After three and a half years, he earned his University of Colorado baccalaureate degree with honors (cum laude) in 1977, in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology as well as English where he received the Jacob Van Eck award for scholastic achievement and community service. He received his doctorate of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 1981. He completed his post-doctorate studies through the University of California at Davis where he subsequently served as an Assistant Clinical Professor for approximately ten years. He was board certified in 1984 and is currently licensed as a physician & surgeon in both California and Oregon. He is a certified Civil Surgeon, has been in the active practice of medicine as the medical director of a Northern California community clinic for sixteen years, and now is in private practice inVacaville, California.

He had long-suffered from back pain himself due to the inadequacy of its contemporary clinical management. His quest for pain relief led him to a number of valuable discoveries that proved to be hugely successful in treating a wide range of previously poorly treated or untreatable backache and neck pain patients.
